Crane acceptance - Onshore

Crane acceptance - Onshore / mining

Cranes are work equipment and are subject to the Ordinance on Industrial Safety and Health (BetrSichV) in conjunction with the Technical Rules for Industrial Safety and Health (TRBS) as well as, in some cases, the regulations of the German Social Accident Insurance Association (DGUV inspection).

Prior to initial commissioning and after changes that require inspection, an inspection needs to be carried out according to BetrSichV for cranes and hoists.

Periodic inspections for cranes, which include documentation and visual and functional inspections, need to be carried out at least every 12 months by a crane expert or crane inspector. In addition, lifting devices attached directly to the crane, such as magnetic cross beams or load cross beams, need to be periodically inspected.

We offer you all of these services:

  • Inspection prior to initial commissioning according to Sec. 14 BetrSichV, Sec. 25 DGUV (Regulation 52)
  • Inspection following changes requiring inspection according to Sec. 14 BetrSichV, Sec. 25 DGUV (Regulation 52)
  • Annually recurring inspection according to Sec. 14 BetrSichV, Sec. 26 DGUV (Regulation 52)
  • Four-year expert inspections in accordance with the Deep Drilling Ordinance (BVOT), Basic Principles, Annex No. 19.1 and Sec. 42 (12) BetrSichV.
  • Four-year expert inspection for non-series-produced hoists (open winches) in accordance with DGUV Regulation 54 Sec. 23
  • Preparation of risk assessments for crane systems in accordance with Sec. 3 BetrSichV and their annual inspection
  • As special test inspections: inspector for cables on crane systems
  • Acceptance inspection/guidance and support for plant acceptance inspections

We inspect the following types of cranes for you:

  • Gantry cranes
  • Goliath cranes
  • Jib cranes
  • Wall-mounted travelling cranes
  • Rail trolleys
  • Slewing jib cranes
  • Derrick cranes
  • Loading cranes (stationary)
  • Manually operated or partially powered cranes
Crane acceptance - Offshore

Crane acceptance - Offshore

We are not only known for our best in the industry work on land, but also in the middle of the ocean, for cranes on wind turbines, transformer platforms and drilling platforms. Wind energy has long played an important role as a renewable form of energy. These cranes also need to be inspected prior to initial commissioning and at regular intervals. Due to the high demands placed on them, an approved offshore crane expert inspects these crane systems every 4 years in accordance with BetrSichV. After the twelfth year of life, the inspection interval is set to 2 years, so that in the 14th and 16th year, an inspector has to perform another inspection. The inspection has to be performed annually after the crane's 17th year of life.

Further qualifications - which our company possesses - are required for acceptance inspections for offshore cranes.

Our company is one of the few that is up to this important task and possesses the certificates and documents required (according to BetrSichV).

Preparation of tenders

Preparation of tenders

Perfectly tailored to your needs and in accordance with applicable standards.

We can help if you need a new crane or need to reorder parts for a crane or you don't know exactly which crane is the best for your company. We also offer to prepare individual tenders for your field of application. In doing so, we respond precisely to our customers' viewpoints and priorities. After consulting with you on site, we prepare your individual tender in line with currently valid standards and national regulations according to the state of the art or technical requirements for shaft and inclined conveyors (TAS).

Additional services we can offer you individually or in a package include the preparation of the specification sheet and the calculation and design of the machine parameters.

In addition, we can also help you evaluate proposals and work with you to find the best provider.

Expert Reports

Expert Reports

Our expert reports can also be used in court.

For the preparation of a private report or a report for companies, we will need to arrange an appointment with you on-site, so that we, as a company, can get an exact picture of the situation locally. On-site we take photos for better documentation, carry out measurements and visual inspections, and check and review documents. An expert report is then prepared based on the facts collected.

Three analyses can form the basis of the report:

  • Failure analysis
  • System analysis
  • Damage analysis
Feasibility Studies

Feasibility Studies

We tell you whether your plans are feasible and whether they are worth it.

In the feasibility studies we perform, we analyse various approaches to solutions for carrying out crane and assembly work on technically complex and demanding projects. Our concern is to present our customers with various assessments and analyses along with documented opportunities and risks in order to provide them various options for making decisions that lead to the final specification of the project implementation. We place our main focus here on the following points:

  • Basic determination (availability and resources, etc. people, machines, time and material)
  • Economic feasibility (price/performance)
  • Use of innovative technologies
  • Recording of the actual situation/measurements
  • Preparation of the specification sheet
